15...Looking for the Green
10:00am
Lockington Reserve, East Side, 1 hour
Come out and celebrate St. Patrick's Day a little differently than before!
We'll explore the Reserve for the first sign of spring wildflowers and
new leaves on the tree. Spring Beauty and Harbinger of Spring should be
up and blooming. Meet at the East Side of Lockington Reserve.

23... Signs of Spring
2:00pm Bornhorst Woods, 1 hour
It's getting closer to the official start of spring but nature runs by
a different calendar. We'll search Bornhorst Woods for our own signs of
spring. We'll try and find some wildflowers and maybe an early migrating
bird or a singing frog! Meet at Bornhorst Woods.

6... Wildflower Prowl
2:00pm Bornhorst Woods, 1 hour
It's the first prowl of the year! We'll search Bornhorst Woods again and
see if anything is different than our visit on the 23rd of March. Learn
about wildflower lore and natural history and we enjoy the warmer days
of early spring. Meet at Bornhorst Woods.

12... Wildflower Prowl
2:00pm Lockington Reserve, West Side, 1 hour
The first prowl at Lockington Reserve. We'll head down around the river
and see what flowers are blooming in the wetter parts of the Reserve.
We'll check the same area out again in May to see what's different. Meet
at the parking lot on the West side of the Reserve.

3... Annual May Bird Walk
7:00am Lockington Reserve, East Side, 1-½ hours
Join local expert birdwatchers, Don and Gary Reed, as they lead the hike
to find those wonderful spring migrants. Search Lockington Reserve for
warblers, thrushes, and who knows what else! Meet at the Lockington Reserve
East parking lot.

4... Wildflower Prowl
2:00pm Miami-Erie Canal Trail, Dawson Rd. pulloff, 1 hour
Come
out and enjoy a walk along the historic Miami-Erie Canal. Hike along the
old towpath and see what wildflowers have grown up along it. Trilliums,
Trout Lilies and Phloxes should be up and showing off their colors.
May 17... Birds and Blooms
10:00 am Lockington Reserve, East Side, 1-½ hours
Enjoy this spring morning as we search the skies and ground for warblers
and wildflowers. Don't worry if you are new to bird watching or wildflowers,
it's easy to learn to identify both. Meet at the Reserve's East parking
lot. Bring binoculars and field guides if you have them.
May 31... Spring Stargaze
8:30pm Lockington Reserve, East Side, 1-½ hours
Join Dick Pierce of the Stillwater Stargazers to observe the skies on
this spring evening. It will be a new moon so the stars will be shining
bright. Meet at the Lockington Reserve East parking lot.
